Big Meadow, Grass Snake, Récolte and Untitled 1983

The Big Meadow is a work in progress. After decades of cutting the grass, nature is being allowed to reclaim this lakeside expanse. A single mown path now leads across the meadow to an enormous multi-trunked American linden tree. A six-sided wooden bench encircles the linden, offering a seat for rest and contemplation.

On the bank overlooking Lake Massawippi, the Grass Snake winds its way up the trunk of a dead tree, adding a touch of humour with its allusion to the Garden of Eden.

The two sculptures, Récolte and Untitled 1983,  are by internationally acclaimed artists Louise Doucet and Satoshi Saito.
