I don’t normally post more than once a week but the wildlife here on Kiawah Island keeps giving me pictures to share. Yesterday I spotted this Great Blue Heron fishing… and enjoying the catch.

There’s something magical about a great blue heron. One hangs out fishing at the river near my house, and whenever I see it on my morning walk, it feels like a blessing on the day.
I agree, Jean. We have a pair that fly up and down the stream near Glen Villa but they are much more wary than the herons around here. So when I spot them, I do feel very fortunate.
