Tonight I’m officially launching my new book, Autobiography of a Garden.
Date: Friday, July 29
Place: Studio Georgeville
20 Carré Copp, Georgeville QC
Time: 5-7
Tomorrow night is the second book launch of the weekend. So if you can’t come tonight, do join me tomorrow.
Date: Saturday, July 30
Place: Gillygooly Gallery
96 Hatley Centre Road
Canton-de-Hatley, QC
Time: 4-6
Everyone is welcome at either night (or at both!) for an informal wine and cheese. We’ll start with a short on-stage conversation about the creation and development of Glen Villa Art Garden, talking about where ideas come from, successes and failures, what’s next on the agenda. With me will be my friend and neighbour and Bishop’s University English professor Claire Grogan. Afterwards, there will be time for questions or simply to chat. And (of course) time for you to buy your autographed copy of Autobiography of a Garden!
Next week I’ll be at the wonderful Reford Gardens in Métis, Quebec, where Alexander Reford and I will talk about the book and show some of the 200+ photos that the book includes. Admission to the event is free for those visiting the garden.
Date: Wednesday, August 3
Place: Reford Gardens, Métis, Quebec
Time: 4-6
To top off a busy month, the following week I will be at the Hudson Story Fest, talking about the book with an old friend, Helen Kurgansky.
Date: Sunday, August 14
Place: Hudson Cultural Hub, 261 Main Rd.
Hudson, Quebec
Time: 2pm
I hope to see you at one or more of these events.
Or come for a visit when I present the book in Montreal and Toronto in September! Dates and info will follow closer to the date, so keep in touch.
Books are also available for purchase at the Open Garden Days. Two days remain this year, on August 20 and October 1. Book your tickets as soon as possible — places are limited and August is almost sold out — on this website, under Activities.
See you soon!
