Site and Insight: Reflecting on Art and Landscape has been honoured with a prestigious Silver Award for electronic media. The award, for the website overall, was given by The Garden Writers’ Association, a large American-based organization that brings together garden writers from around the world.
Site and Insight was one of 231 entries judged by a panel of distinguished members of the gardening, communications and academic communities. Judges evaluated entries for accuracy of information, content, organization, style and originality.
At the annual symposium held this year in Pasadena, California, awards were given in 11 categories, covering print and electronic media. You can find the full list of winners here.
I am thrilled to be among a group of talented individuals. A BIG thank you goes to Alessandra Salituri of JGA Associates, Montreal, who was with me every step of the way, to Michael Wou and Jenn McIntyre of Origami who were responsible for the logo and general design and to Gabriel McCay of Blue Lotus Creative who made everything work.
On a different topic…
For reasons I don’t understand, an entry I wrote two weeks ago about Charles Jencks’s landforms in Scotland appeared on some readers’ screens in an unreadable format. At their request I’m re-posting that entry. Happy reading, whether it’s for the first or second time!
Congratulations! It’s well deserved!
Thank you, Jason. And thanks again for the two posts about Glen Villa. It’s always good to spread the word.
I can only second Jason’s congratulations and his sentiment that this award is well deserved!
Thank you, Jean. Writing the blog gives me a lot of pleasure, so it is doubly rewarding for the blog to be recognized.
Congrats on your award…..another feather in the cap!
Thank you, Robert. I’m delighted.
