The Open Garden Days last summer were very popular, but now that I’m in a new house, adjacent to my old one, things have to change. There are no Open Garden Days this summer.
BUT … here’s the good news.
You can still visit the garden! All you need to do is gather a group of 15 or more people and book your tour in advance.

This group of gardeners from Ottawa came for a tour a few years ago.
There are no set dates. You put a group together, get in touch with a requested date or two, and I will respond quickly to let you know if the date is available.
Again this summer you can come for a general visit or for a special tour focused around these topics:
Garden design
Landscape architect Myke Hodgins who helped to design the garden at Glen Villa will share his knowledge and particular insights with pre-booked groups in June and August.

Myke Hodgins speaks to a group of visitors about the Upper Room. The rain didn’t get in the way!
Photography
Landscape photographer Karl Ehrlich who led very popular group tours last summer is available for pre-booked group tours in June, July and August.

Nature Nerding
Naturalist and Educator Jessica Adams who leads the Massawippi Foundation’s Education program and whose workshop last summer on pollinators and monarch butterflies was so successful with children and adults alike is available for pre-booked group tours in June, July and August. These tours can be general or focus on aspects of the natural world.

There’s always one person looking another way! What do you think he saw that no one else did?
Finally, Patterson Webster — me! I am available throughout the summer to lead tours through the garden and the art installations along Timelines. Except under usual circumstances, I will also meet each group to give an introduction to the garden and my thinking behind each area.

Is there a topic that particularly interests you and your group? If so, let me know and I will try to arrange a specialist on the subject.

This group from the Sherbrooke Horticultural Society visited the garden some years ago. Their tour focused on plants in the garden.
Prices start at $25 per person and vary based on the size of the group and the topic. As was the case in previous years, all money raised goes to support the Massawippi Foundation and Conservation Trust.

Don’t wait to put your group together! Don’t wait to get in touch to book your tour for June, July or August this year!
I look forward to meeting old and new friends in the garden this summer!
