On a short stretch of path\u00a0in the woods, I spotted\u00a0six different types. I didn&rsquo;t pick any or examine them carefully, and without noting the specifics of their gills and stalks, I can&rsquo;t identify them with certainty. Mushroom identification is tricky in the best of cases, and without being sure what each is, I definitely\u00a0won&rsquo;t eat them. But the\u00a0differences in colour and shape\u00a0are interesting.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_6660\" style=\"width: 1553px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-6660\" class=\"wp-image-6660 size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/glenvillaartgarden.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/08\/untitled-1-of-5.jpg\" alt=\"untitled (1 of 5)\" width=\"1543\" height=\"1141\" \/><p id=\"caption-attachment-6660\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Is this one of the edible puffballs?\u00a0 Maybe, maybe not.<\/p><\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_6661\" style=\"width: 1454px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-6661\" class=\"size-full wp-image-6661\" src=\"http:\/\/glenvillaartgarden.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/08\/untitled-2-of-5.jpg\" alt=\"orange cap\" width=\"1444\" height=\"1061\" \/><p id=\"caption-attachment-6661\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">The intense colour of this mushroom tells me that it is most likely not edible.
